A Bold New Chapter in Fashion: Seeya Fashion Week 2024 Elevates Both Emerging and Veteran Designers
Redefining the fashion landscape, Seeya Fashion Week 2024 introduced an innovative format that seamlessly blended new creative voices with established industry experts. This unique fusion was propelled by a comprehensive three-month mentorship program that supports the growth of up-and-coming designers.
New Delhi, October 5: Seeya Fashion Week 2024, powered by The Seeya Sttory and spearheaded by visionary founder Seema Vashishth, took center stage at Bella Monde, NH8, Gurgaon, on October 5, 2024. The event attracted a prestigious array of guests of honor, including renowned ghazal singer Penaz Masani, BJP spokesperson Shazia Ilmi, television actress Akanksha Pal, and Vijay Chaudhary, founder of the Ramrattan Group.
The show was opened by Bollywood designer Rosy Ahluwalia’s collection – NAZAKAT. What makes Seeya Fashion Week 2024 truly stand out is its groundbreaking mentorship program—a rigorous three-month initiative designed to cultivate and support emerging designers from India and beyond. This forward-thinking approach creates an essential link between aspiring creatives and seasoned professionals, fostering a space for learning, innovation, and collaboration.
The mentor for Seeya Fashion Week was Ms Jigyasa Jolly and the Fashion stylist on board was Ms Neha Bhatia.
1.) Jigysa Jolly (SFW Mentor ) – Brand owner – Modo Caldo
Jigyasa Jolly: Empowering Designers, Inspiring Audiences
Jigyasa Jolly is more than just a creative director at Modo Caldo; she’s a visionary who’s reshaping the fashion industry. Her brand, Modo Caldo, isn’t merely about creating stylish clothes; it’s about empowering individuals to express their unique identities through fashion clothing. Founded in 2017, Modo Caldo is a fusion of art, fashion, and science, offering a truly one-of-a-kind experience.
Beyond her role as a designer, Jigyasa is a dedicated mentor and coach for various fashion shows and beauty pageants. She’s passionate about nurturing young talent and helping them develop their creative voices. She has worked with more than 75 designers over a span of 2 years, guiding them through the intricacies of garment design, construction, and storytelling. Her mentorship isn’t just about teaching technical skills; it’s about inspiring them to use fashion as a medium for self-expression.
Jigyasa’s recent involvement with Seeya Fashion Week showcased her dedication to fostering the next generation of fashion designers. She spent about 4 months working closely with aspiring designers, providing personalized guidance on everything from fabric selection to color theory. Her mentorship played a crucial role in helping these designers create collections that were both visually stunning and emotionally resonant.
On October 5, 2024, Jigyasa was also seen as a grand jury member at the Seeya Fashion Week event held at Bel-La-Monde, Gurugram. Her heart swelled with pride as she watched her mentees showcase their collections. The positive feedback they received from the audience was a testament to her dedication and expertise.

2.) Neha Bhatia (SFW Fashion Stylist)
“Fashion is what I breathe in.”
Based in Delhi NCR, this bridal styling company offers personal shopping, fashion styling, and luxury consultancy services, with bespoke designs for weddings around the globe.
For two months, the stylist worked closely with emerging fashion designers from Seeya Fashion Week, guiding them on their creative journey.
On the final day, her expertise ensured their designs truly shone on the runway. In a world where hiring a stylist and donning designer wear has shifted from luxury to necessity, she navigates visual traditions with finesse.
Her services help clients cut through the clutter, ensuring each ensemble reflects elegance and individuality, making her an essential part of the modern wedding experience.
The event saw the launch of 15 budding designers, each with a unique artistic vision and creative flair. Let’s take a closer look at a few of these rising stars:
3.) Shalaka Sreeram – Brand: Shalaka
As a distinguished Indian artist and designer, Shalaka holds an impressive portfolio, featuring two world records in the field of art and a multitude of honors. Her distinctive talents have been highlighted in ‘India Talent Magazine,’ and she has been conferred with the ‘Indian Women’s Talent Award,’ as well as being prominently featured in several publications for her artistic achievements.
With unparalleled versatility, Shalaka specializes in exquisite, hand-painted fabrics, guided by the principle “Regardless of where you stand, what you wear should stand out.” Through meticulous diligence and patience, ordinary fabrics are transformed into extraordinary, one-of-a-kind products, each skillfully conceptualized and crafted to ensure uniqueness and unmatched beauty.
‘Varnika,’ Shalaka’s masterpiece, distills the essence of art and creativity. This exquisite floral collection comprises ten hand-painted sarees, showcasing her skill with paint, brush, and fabric. In just 62 days, Shalaka crafted 72 meters of meticulously hand-painted fabric, each design element and color combination telling a captivating story.
Shalaka participated in SEEYA FASHION WEEK and showcased her creation under the theme ‘ Autmn’. Her collection mesmerized the audience and was highly appreciated.
4.) Sayeeda Khan: Brand-Era Fashions
Sayeeda Khan hails from Bikaner, Rajasthan, and has been passionate about designing and sewing clothes since the beginning. Together with her sisters, she started creating designer outfits from home. For every occasion or festival, she crafted various designer suits for herself and her relatives. This experience boosted her confidence, leading her to pursue a professional career in fashion design from home.
Sayeeda initially took a year-long sewing course at a boutique house in Jaipur. In 2009, when her husband, who works in the defense sector, was posted to Jammu, she resumed her sewing work there and later joined AFWWA. After working in Jammu she continued her work in Bangalore.
In 2019, Sayeeda connected with Mrs. Seema Vashishth, who provided her with valuable guidance on managing a boutique. Under Mrs. Seema’s mentorship, Sayeeda had the golden opportunity to open a boutique in Delhi. She is profoundly grateful to Mrs. Seema, as this connection also led her to join Seeya Fashion Week. At Seeya Fashion Week in Gurugram on October 5, 2024, Sayeeda presented ten of her designs, which received widespread appreciation. She believes Seeya Fashion Week is one of the best platforms to help designers hone their skills and reach their full potential.
