Seeya Fashion Week Designer Snigdha Majumder Brings Blue Wardrobe to New York Fashion Week 2025
When Designer Snigdha Majumder took the stage at New York Fashion Week 2025 on September 14 at 1604 Broadway, New York, she carried more than garments — she carried a legacy. Representing Seeya Fashion Week (SFW), her label Blue Wardrobe became a beacon of India’s evolving handloom story.
Following the celebrated October 2024 edition of SFW, where creativity and sustainability took center stage, this international representation marked a global breakthrough. Founded by Seema Vashishth, Seeya Fashion Week has redefined what it means to be a platform — not just for established designers, but for emerging voices ready to be heard.
Seema’s vision has always been to empower — to give designers mentorship, exposure, and a global narrative. “Every design has a story, and every designer deserves to tell it to the world,” she believes.
Snigdha’s collection, “Threads of Infinity”, did exactly that. Inspired by the Banarasi heritage of Varanasi, she presented five modern fusion ensembles and five elegant sarees, blending traditional craftsmanship with a contemporary global aesthetic.
Each piece told its own story — of artisans’ resilience, of threads spun with love, and of India’s timeless artistry finding its place in global couture. Her New York-based models embodied that cross-cultural exchange, where the East met the West in poise and precision.
Blue Wardrobe’s success underlined Seeya Fashion Week’s purpose — to take Indian designers beyond borders, where fashion becomes cultural diplomacy.

“Banarasi isn’t just a fabric,” Snigdha shared. “It’s an emotion. Through Blue Wardrobe, I want to reimagine it for the modern woman — powerful, grounded, and graceful.”
As the spotlight shone on her final piece — a handwoven silk saree with contemporary metallic accents — the audience rose in applause. It wasn’t just appreciation for a designer; it was recognition of a movement — of India’s heritage finding its new voice.
